From a press conference on December 7, 2020, it was announced that several artists are suing opera houses and concert halls for unnecessary closures which affect their pay and contracts.
Some of the artists include Christian Gerhaher, Hansjörg Albrecht, Kevin Conners, and Wolfgang Ablinger-Sperrhacke. Other artists include other singers and instrumentalists from major companies. Christian Gerhaher leads this movement at the forefront, obtaining a major arts lawyer and filing an application to the Bavarian Administrative Court in Munich, Germany.
