Gran Teatro La Fenice Closes Due to Coronavirus Outbreak


The famous Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venice, Italy is another opera house to close due to the Coronavirus outbreak.


The company made this statement on social media,


"All performances are cancelled until Sunday 1st March in relation to the spread of the coronavirus according to the precautionary measure of the Veneto Region. We will bring you more as the situation develops." -Gran Teatro La Fenice

The opera house plans to be closed until Sunday March 1st with a number of performances affected, including FANTASMAGORIE, ELISIR D'AMORE, & CONCERTS BY HARMUT HAENCHEN.

It is advised to contact the opera house directly for further cancellations and we will keep you updated when we know any more information as well.



Ticket holders may obtain a refund for cancelled performances. Below is the refund policy.



TICKET REFUND POLICY


FANTASMAGORIE (24th and 25th February at 12pm) & ELISIR D’AMORE (25th February at 7pm(


Tickets purchased online the tickets purchased online will be refunded automatically crediting the amount paid to the credit card used for the purchase.

Tickets purchased by call center the tickets purchased by phone will be refunded automatically crediting the amount paid to the credit card used for the purchase.

Tickets purchased by agencies the tickets purchased through agencies will be refunded directly by the agency which sold them.

Tickets purchased at ticket desk: the tickets purchased at the Venezia Unica box offices will be refunded directly at the box office which sold them; for the refund it will be required to bring the tickets to the box office who sold them from Thursday February 27th until Friday 13th March 2020.


Any tickets purchased at the box office by people who wouldn’t be in Venice during the days scheduled for the refund: it will be required to send a refund request at biglietteria@teatrolafenice.org



CONCERTS CONDUCTED BY HARTMUT HAENCHEN (29th February at 8pm and 1st March at 5pm)
