SEMPEROPER DRESDEN SHUTS DOWN & CANCELS PERFORMANCES




Semperoper Dresden released a statement they are officially shutting down and cancelling all performances until February 28, 2021.


The opera house released a statement,


"Dear Audience,

Saxony's Minister of State for Culture and Tourism, Barbara Klepsch, has decided in coordination with representatives of the theaters and museums sponsored by the Free State of Saxony that these facilities will remain closed until February 28, 2021 due to the corona pandemic. This means that all performances in the Semperoper and Semper Zwei will be canceled until the end of February."


"All tickets already purchased for the canceled performances will be reimbursed.

Please use our return form for a refund. Ticket return You have the choice between reimbursement in the form of a voucher, transferring the reimbursement amount and a donation: The Semperoper vouchers are valid for three years and can be redeemed for almost all events at the Semperoper Dresden (excluding exclusive events, special events and guest performances). If you wish to transfer the reimbursement amount, please provide us with your bank details. The system fees incurred when booking online are non-refundable. You can also donate the ticket value. Your donation will benefit the Semperoper Education project “New Mediation Formats.” The reimbursement process can take some time. We therefore kindly ask for your patience."
