The Teatro alla Scala has revealed the appointed conductor for its upcoming production of "L'Amore dei tre re."
Due to personal reasons, Michele Mariotti has withdrawn from the production, leading to his replacement by Pinchas Steinberg.
Steinberg is a highly esteemed conductor who has showcased his talent at renowned opera houses such as the Wiener Staatsoper, Royal Opera House, San Francisco Opera, Paris Opera, Teatro dell'Opera di Roma, Teatro San Carlo, Bayerische Staatsoper, Hamburg State Opera, and Gran Teatre del Liceu. He first performed at Teatro alla Scala in 2010.
Under Steinberg's baton, the cast will include Günther Groissböck, Giorgio Berrugi, Giorgio Misseri, and Chiara Isotton.
The premiere of "L'Amore dei tre re" is scheduled for October 28, 2023, and the production will run until November 12, 2023.
