Young Concert Artists (YCA) has announced its exciting lineup for the 2023-2024 season, which includes the debut of four new artists in New York and a collaborative presentation with the New York Festival of Song. The season will showcase a range of performances, including the YCA Auditions and a Winners Concert, both of which will be live-streamed, as well as four midday concerts and a grand finale at Carnegie Hall. Additionally, four YCA artists will have the opportunity to display their talents at the Terrace Theater in the Kennedy Center, Washington, D.C.
The New York Series The YCA concert series in New York will commence in November with the YCA Susan Wadsworth International Auditions, Final Round. These auditions will take place at Merkin Hall in the Kaufman Music Center, New York. The final round of the auditions will be streamed live on YCA's YouTube channel and Facebook page.
Performance Date: Nov. 11, 2023, at Merkin Hall in the Kaufman Music Center
Following the auditions, the winners of the 2023 YCA Susan Wadsworth International Auditions will perform selections from their winning auditions and engage in a short interview with the audience. As with the auditions, this performance will be live-streamed by YCA.

Under the guidance of Steven Blier, pianist and Artistic Director of the New York Festival of Song, a quintet of young vocalists will deliver a captivating performance encompassing five centuries of Western music. The soloists include Chelsea Guo (soprano and piano), Daniel McGrew (tenor), Megan Moore (mezzo-soprano), Joseph Parrish (bass-baritone), and Erin Wagner (mezzo-soprano). The featured works will include compositions by Janequin, Mozart, Vaughn Williams, Rossini, and more.
Performance Date: Feb. 21, 2024, at Merkin Hall in the Kaufman Music Center.
In March 2024, tenor Daniel McGrew will take the stage, performing works by Schumann, Fauré, and Matthew Ricketts. Sophia Zhou will accompany him as the collaborative pianist.
Performance Date: Mar. 20, 2024, at Gilder Lehrman Hall, The Morgan Library & Museum
Mezzo-soprano Erin Wagner will present her debut concert titled "Everything Must Change," featuring music by Schubert, Stefania Turkewich, Viktor Ullmann, and Shawn Chang.
Collaborative pianist Chang will join her on stage.
Performance Date: Mar. 21, 2024, at Merkin Hall in the Kaufman Music Center
The New York Series concludes in May with the Season Finale, featuring a stellar lineup of YCA Artists and Alums. The concert will include performances by violinists Paul Huang, Chee-Yun, Daniel Phillips, Bella Hristova, and Lun Li, cellists Colin Carr and Julia Bruskin, pianist Anthony De Mare, tenor Daniel McGrew, soprano Chelsea Guo, and many others.
Performance Date: May 20, 2024, at Zankel Hall in Carnegie Hall
Washington D.C. Series The Washington D.C. Series begins with bass-baritone Joseph Parrish presenting his debut concert. The program will showcase German lieder, Russian romances, American songs, a world premiere by YCA Composer-in-Residence Alistair Coleman, and spirituals featuring the WPA Children of the Gospel Choir.
Performance Date: Feb. 6, 2024, at The Kennedy Center Terrace Theater
Erin Wagner, a mezzo-soprano, will have her first concert in Washington D.C. titled "Everything Must Change." The concert will showcase compositions by Schubert, Stefania Turkewich, Viktor Ullmann, and Shawn Chang. Collaborating with Wagner is pianist Shawn Chang.
Performance Date: March 13, 2024, at The Kennedy Center Terrace Theater.
