The 2023-24 season of Modena's Teatro Comunale Pavarotti-Freni has been announced.
Opera
Opening the season is Pier Luigi Pizzi's new production of Giordano's "Fedora," conducted by Aldo Sisillo. The cast features Teresa Romano, Yuliya Tkachenko, Luciano Ganci, and Simone Piazzola.

Verdi's "Don Carlo," directed by Joseph Franconi-Lee, will be performed in four acts. Jordi Benacer conducts a cast including Michele Pertusi, Piero Pretti, Anna Pirozzi, Ramaz Chikviladze, and Teresa Romano.

Stefano Monti directs Verdi's "Il Trovatore," with Ernesto Petti, Chiara Isotton, Anna Maria Chiuri, and Angelo Villari in the cast. Matteo Beltrami conducts.

A world premiere titled "I salvatori della mezzanotte," commissioned by the Teatro Comunale di Modena and composed by Daniele Furlati, will be dedicated to Christmas. Francesca Mercuriali, Vincenzo Tremante, and Tony Contartese star.

Leonardo Sini presents a new production of Verdi's "Otello," featuring Gregory Kunde in the title role, alongside Francesca Dotto and Luca Micheletti.

Roberto Scandiuzzi, Shaked Bar, and David Tricou will perform Cristian Carrara and Sandro Cappelletto's "Voci da Hebron."

Donizetti's "Anna Bolena," conducted by Diego Fasolis and directed by Carmelo Rifici, stars Carmela Remigio, Arianna Vendittelli, Ruzil Gatin, Simone Alberghini, and Paola Gardina.
